This site gathers the developing argument that human identity may be better understood as a continuity problem: preserving enough structure, function, memory, agency, and embodiment for a person to remain meaningfully connected to their future self.

Manifesto

The goal is not fantasy immortality. The goal is disciplined continuity.

Human Continuity treats the person as a layered process: biological brain activity, memories, values, habits, perception, action, social context, and future agency. A credible path forward must respect all of those layers.

The site separates what is already supported by evidence from what is still hypothesis. It also keeps the development of the idea visible, because the argument is not fixed: it has been shaped by materials on neuroscience, brain preservation, brain-computer interfaces, and robotics.

Reading Guide

Use the site as an argument map, not as a finished doctrine.

The strongest version of the project is transparent about uncertainty. Every idea should eventually point to a source segment, a confidence level, and a reason it changed the model.

Each axis is a lens. None is sufficient alone. Continuity depends on how they fit together.

    The brain is the central continuity substrate.

    The early focus is on whether the brain contains the decisive information required for a person to remain continuous: memory, personality, skill, preference, and subjective point of view.

  2. First refinement

    Cellular survival is not the same as conscious survival.

  3. Second refinement

    Continuity may require interfaces, not only preservation.
